How can I express my gratitude to you all? Your loving support, words of encouragement, warm smiles and high fives mean the world to me. The thought that all of you believe in me, in this farm and in this local food movement helps me get through some of those hard times when nothing seems to be working. Last week's pick-up and bulk-it-up order was a whirlwind, and though I wish I had been able to personally thank each and every one of you, I'm grateful for every hug and moment of connection we squeezed in!
I'm sure most, if not all, entrepreneurs out there will concur that while running your own business, there seems to be so many times of deep self doubt, when your anxious mind takes a hold of your entire being and you wonder 'what the heck am I doing here?' or 'who am I to think that I can make a difference or change things?' And then another Thursday rolls around, and all of you wonderful humans share with me your love of food or your recent food experience, and once again, my heart is full and happy.
I'd like to say that I'm a very grounded person who knows exactly what I want, where I'm headed, and how I'm going to get there. On good days, I do have that confidence. It's on those hard days, when it's just too hard to stand alone out there in the fields, that I lean on my community for reassurance, guidance, fiery energy and connection. I am truly blessed to have this warm blanket around me. Cheers to you all! I hope you're enjoying this holiday season in whatever ways feel good for you - hopefully enjoying some delicious food and great company. Thank you for another wonderful year and see you all on the flip side of winter!
